Company LANDAU was established in 1968 by Mr. Stefan LANDAU, BSc. Its activity was focused, for the first years, on the former Soviet Union.

Mr. Stefan LANDAU made a respected name for himself by being one of the pioneers in the mediation and independent handling of commercial transactions with the Soviet Union and was very soon granted the representation of well-respected companies based in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, as well as in other countries. In 1978, company LANDAU was one of the first foreign companies to be granted the permission to establish an independent office in Moscow.

Our company's main area of activity covers the broadcast and television technology, equipment for theaters, conference technology, equipment for refineries and automobiles etc.

In 1999, Mr. Stefan LANDAU was appointed Commercial Councilor by the Austrian Chamber of Commerce. One year later, he was awarded the Silver Badge of Honor, followed in 2014 by the Gold Badge of Honor.

For the past few decades, company LANDAU has also established offices in Romania (Bucharest) – www.landau.ro, and in Bulgaria (Sofia) – www.gerriets.bg. The requests coming from our Hungarian customers are processed by the Viennese office.

In 1998, the management of the business activities concerning Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary was taken over by Mr. Oliver LANDAU. The business pursuits regarding the respective markets are focusing on equipment and solutions for the textile and garment industry, the furniture and automotive industry, as well as furnishings, equipment and technological solutions for theaters, operas and multi-functional halls. In these markets, we represent numerous world-wide respected manufacturers, not only as mediators, but also as independent handlers of commercial transactions.
